Budanov warned about a furious wave of information attacks starting September 12

According to glavcom.ua: The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, warned about the approaching "furious wave of information escalation" starting September 12. On that exact day, military exercises "West-2025" will begin in the country, organized in Belarus. This was reported by Glavkom.

According to Budanov, after the Russian invasion in 2022, such exercises are perceived as more than just military maneuvers. He emphasized that the impending start of the active phase of the exercises will be accompanied by an intensive information attack from all sides, primarily from Russia.

"That is, they will play out certain elements of the future war already. This is not about Ukraine. Here ... it is a symbol and a sign for, first of all, European countries, primarily for the Baltic states," Budanov explained.

He noted that these exercises aim to practice maneuvers in the western direction of the theater of military operations. Russia and Belarus will replicate scenarios involving the use of nuclear weapons and the "Oreshnik" missiles during the military exercises.

The warning about the information escalation was expressed by the head of the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine before the start of the military exercises "West-2025" in Belarus. This underscores the seriousness of the situation, indicates the importance of preparing for possible escalations, and shows the strained relations between countries in Eastern Europe.
