Bukovina hit by bad weather: washed out roads, fallen trees, and flooded basements

Rescuers in Bukovina have received about a dozen requests for assistance. This is reported by

In Chernivtsi, according to the rescuers, they were simultaneously pumping water out of the basements of apartment buildings, private houses, and administrative buildings.

In the Dniester region, a passenger car that could not move due to the flooding of the road was towed away, and fallen trees were removed.

Rescuers continue rescue operations

In the Chernivtsi region, the rescuers are continuing to clear the roads of fallen trees caused by strong winds and rains.

In the Vyzhnytsia region, mountain rescuers helped three people safely cross a stream that had overflowed its banks and blocked the movement on the forest road.

Emergency services urge citizens to be cautious during bad weather and to follow safety rules:

• avoid trees, advertising billboards, and power lines;
• do not leave cars in low-lying areas;
• have a flashlight, means of communication, and a supply of water;
• in case of emergency - call 101.
