Time to Change the Rules: Zelensky Proposes a Radical Recipe for Peace

At the 'Helsinki+50' conference in Finland, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the international community to assist in changing the regime in Russia, noting that the Russian leadership is stuck in the past century and ignores human rights and equality. According to Zelensky, such ideas must not return to Europe.

The President also believes that the non-recognition of peace after World War II is the foundation of the current regime in Russia and assures that Russia can be forced to stop the war by blocking the military machine, limiting revenues from energy, and confiscating Russian assets to promote peaceful goals.

Destabilization in Neighboring Countries

Zelensky also warned that if the regime in Russia remains unchanged, Moscow may intervene and destabilize the situation in neighboring countries after the war ends. The President stressed that reforms in the Russian regime are necessary to ensure peace in the region.
