He initially joined Real Sociedad's youth system as a teenager, featuring for their reserve team and having loan spells at Arenas Club and Deportivo Alavés. During his two seasons with Alavés, he made 10 appearances in La Liga. This move brings Spanish league experience to a Ukrainian side looking to bolster its midfield options.
