Who Was Suhrob Sidikov?

According to Главком: Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated Russian invader Suhrob Sidikov, a boxer who held the title of Russian Master of Sport and was a champion and medalist in international competitions. Sidikov was born on October 6, 1989, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, but began his athletic career in Syzran, Russian Federation. A funeral service for him was held in Syzran on April 14, 2026. His death underscores the grim reality that the ongoing war in Ukraine has drawn in individuals from all walks of life, including elite athletes.

Athletic Accomplishments

Suhrob Sidikov was awarded the rank of Master of Sport of Russia in boxing in 2008. He gained prominence as the Russian national champion among students. In 2013, the athlete won a gold medal at the World Summer Universiade held in Kazan. That same year, he earned a bronze medal at the international Makar Mazay Memorial Tournament in Mariupol. Sidikov competed in the weight category up to 75 kg.
