According to Федерація Легкої Атлетики: The Ukrainian National Athletics Championships for U20 juniors is currently being held at the indoor arena in Kyiv. The finals for the 5000-meter race walk have already concluded, and the women's pole vault competition is in progress.

Finals Schedule for Day One

The schedule for the finals on the first day of competition has been announced, with events starting at 4:00 PM. The planned finals include:

• 1500-meter races for junior women and men
• Long jump
• Shot put
• 60-meter sprints

Specifically, the junior women's 1500m will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by the junior men's race at 4:15 PM. The junior women's 4kg shot put is scheduled for 4:20 PM, with the 60-meter sprints for junior women and men set for 4:35 PM and 4:45 PM, respectively.

The competition will continue with the 2000-meter steeplechase, long jump, 6kg shot put, and 60-meter hurdles. Among the early results already recorded are notable performances by Illia Tyshkevych with a time of 21:58.59 and Veronika Tkachuk with a result of 23:17.54. This national championship is a key stepping stone for young athletes aiming for future international competitions, such as the European or World U20 Championships.
