Blackouts in Ukraine: how to stay safe on the road during wartime
When terrorist shelling occurs and traffic lights turn off due to the stabilization of the energy system, it directly affects road safety. According to the National Police, since the beginning of the year, there have been already 18.9 thousand road accidents, resulting in the deaths of 2.2 thousand people, and another 23.5 thousand have received various injuries.
Pedestrians are advised to prefer bright clothing and use reflective elements, be attentive on the road, and use sidewalks. Drivers, in turn, must follow traffic rules, give way to pedestrians, and keep their cars clean.
Adhering to simple road safety rules can help avoid danger and preserve health. Remember about your own safety and the safety of those around you — only together can we improve the situation on the roads!
