About the Digital Platform 'Dodomu'
According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Designed specifically for Ukrainians living outside their homeland, the 'Dodomu' digital platform offers verified information and guidance to help users create personalized plans for returning to Ukraine. Since its pilot launch in June 2026, the platform has attracted 52,000 visitors from nearly 100 countries. The highest engagement comes from users in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Ukraine itself.
Features and Resources
'Dodomu' serves as a comprehensive hub providing details on government services, social support programs, and other valuable tools that assist individuals in making informed decisions about their return and reintegration. A dedicated section highlights the Unity Network, which includes Unity Centers and partner organizations abroad. Additionally, the platform showcases profiles of almost 150 local communities across various Ukrainian regions, all prepared to support returnees during their reintegration journey.
This initiative is part of the YOUA project - "Creating New Paths, Building Ukraine’s Future," implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German government, in partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity. The technical development was carried out by the NGO 'Technology of Progress.'
“More than 50,000 visits within the first few months demonstrate the immediate demand for the 'Dodomu' platform. We are continuously updating and expanding it by adding new services, community information, and opportunities in Ukraine. Our goal is to reduce uncertainty for Ukrainians considering their return-whether now or in the future-and support them in making well-informed decisions when the time comes,” stated Ilona Havronska.
As a result, 'Dodomu' has become an essential tool for Ukrainians abroad, offering the critical information and support needed to facilitate their return home.
Given the increasing mobility of Ukrainians around the world, the 'Dodomu' platform plays a vital role in easing the reintegration process by providing access to key resources and opportunities within Ukraine. The backing from government bodies and international organizations underscores the project’s importance in promoting the social welfare of returning citizens. Continued development of the platform promises to enhance the adaptation and integration experiences for Ukrainians coming back to their communities.
In addition to the launch of the 'Dodomu' platform, Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy has also initiated an Ambassador Network aimed at assisting citizens abroad in their return. This network is designed to provide further support and resources, complementing the efforts of 'Dodomu' in facilitating a smoother reintegration process for Ukrainians considering their return home.
