Digital labor book is not needed: your experience will not disappear, even if you do not have it

Digital labor book is not needed
Цифрова трудова книжка не є необхідною: ваш досвід залишиться, навіть якщо у вас її немає.

Clarification from the Pension Fund of Ukraine

The Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad Region has explained that the absence of a digital copy of the labor book will not lead to the loss of the insured person's work experience. Volodymyr Ishchenko emphasized that data on the insurance experience of individuals who have worked after 2004 is already included in the system of personalized records, which ensures the preservation of information about labor activity.

Digitization of labor books

For non-working pensioners, the digitization of labor books is not necessary, as information about their labor activity is kept in pension files. This indicates that even without a digital version of the labor book, pensioners can be confident in the preservation of their work experience.

Scan copies of labor books can be submitted through the electronic cabinet of the insurer on the official web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, however, for those who already have confirmed experience, this is not a mandatory measure. Thus, the system provides reliable protection of the rights of insured persons regardless of the presence of a digital labor book.

This information underscores the importance of the electronicization of the labor experience accounting system in Ukraine, which helps reduce bureaucratic barriers and provides convenience for workers and pensioners. The implementation of such technologies contributes to the preservation of data about labor activity, which is critically important for determining pension rights and ensuring social protection guarantees for the population.
