Digitalization of construction saved ₴13.7 billion: how services in Diia combat corruption
Since 2020, Ukraine has digitized 14 construction services, including ordering a construction passport, notifying about the start of construction, and obtaining an operation permit. This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
According to research by Civitta, every year Ukrainians use construction services in Diia more than 55 thousand times, generating an economic effect of ₴3.3 billion annually. This has allowed saving over ₴3.2 billion that previously went to bribes, intermediaries, and shadow schemes.
Main results of digitalization: costs for obtaining services decreased by 5 times; ₴13.7 billion saved over 5 years; by 2035, digitalization will add +0.8% to Ukraine's GDP.
The single state electronic system in the construction sector stores 7.5 million registered documents. Currently, about 140 thousand registered users work in the system, including architects, engineering designers, employees of architectural and construction control bodies, construction customers, developers, and others.
The digitalization of construction services in Ukraine has allowed optimizing processes and saving significant funds that previously went to various corruption schemes. This step will contribute to the development of the economy and improve the business environment in the country. The state electronic system in the construction sector has become a reliable database for specialists and clients, which will facilitate the further development of the construction industry in Ukraine.
