Price forecasts for eggs in Ukraine
Expert Oleg Pendzin from the Economic Discussion Club predicts a possible increase in prices this autumn, but only in the event of a corn crop failure. The logic is simple: a poor harvest will lead to higher prices for poultry feed, which will affect the cost of eggs.
However, with a good corn harvest, the situation may develop in the opposite direction – eggs may become even cheaper. According to the analyst, the pricing of eggs is directly related to the cost of grains used as feed.
At the beginning of autumn, Ukrainians noticed the decrease in the prices of chicken eggs. The average weighted price for eggs was observed at 4.73 hryvnias per piece. It is predicted that an increase in egg prices is possible in the event of a corn crop failure, which is used as feed for poultry.
