Fuel Prices Adjusted in Ukraine

According to Главком: As of April 13, 2026, fuel prices in Ukraine have been updated. The average cost for a liter of A-95 gasoline is approximately 74.05 UAH, while the average price for a liter of diesel fuel has reached 90.80 UAH. These changes come amidst a broader trend of rising fuel costs, with diesel prices in Ukraine having surged by 33.9%. The Ukrainian economy remains highly sensitive to global energy market fluctuations and domestic supply chain issues.

To help support consumers, a National Fuel Cashback Program was launched on March 20, 2026, and will run until May 1. Under the program's terms, the cashback rates are as follows:

  • 15% on diesel;
  • 10% on gasoline;
  • 5% on autogas.

The maximum cashback amount a single person can receive is capped at 1,000 UAH per month.

Key Drivers Behind the Fuel Price Increase

According to Serhiy Kuyun, Director of the A-95 Consulting Group, diesel supply volumes in March remained at 2025 levels. The primary reason for the fuel price hike, as stated by Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee, is that following the shutdown of the country's largest oil refinery, nearly all light oil products (over 85%) now depend on imports. This reliance makes the domestic market vulnerable to international price shifts and logistical challenges.

Other contributing factors to the rising fuel prices include:

  • Increased demand volumes;
  • Reduced supply volumes and dwindling reserves;
  • Higher costs for logistics services.

It has also been noted that it is currently impossible to compare the conditions and volumes of fuel storage within Ukraine.

Current fuel prices across various filling station networks are as follows:

  • UPG network: A-95 at 74.00 UAH;
  • OKKO: 76.90 UAH;
  • WOG: 76.90 UAH;
  • KLO: 73.69 UAH;
  • SOCAR: 76.99 UAH;
  • Ukrnafta: 69.90 UAH;
  • BRSM-Nafta: 69.99 UAH per liter.

Diesel prices at these networks range from 86.90 UAH to 94.00 UAH per liter.

The situation on Ukraine's fuel market highlights the country's heavy dependence on imported oil products, which threatens price stability. The introduced cashback program may partially alleviate the financial burden on consumers but does not address the core issues related to supply volumes and import dependency. Further price fluctuations are likely, driven by changes in the global oil market and internal economic factors, necessitating effective government measures to stabilize the situation.
