Fuel prices in Ukraine
Оновлення цін на паливо в Україні: як змінилися витрати на бензин та дизель.

As of May 26, 2026

According to Главком: Ukrainian gas station networks have adjusted their fuel prices. The average cost of A-95 gasoline stands at 76.70 UAH per liter, while diesel fuel is priced at 87.35 UAH per liter. In some networks, A95 and A95+ gasoline dropped by about 1 UAH per liter, and auto gas decreased by an average of 1 UAH, with one network reporting a reduction of just 9 kopecks. Diesel fuel also saw a roughly 1 UAH per liter cut in one network.

The highest gasoline and diesel prices are offered by the Okko, WOG, and Socar chains, while the cheapest fuel is available at Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta. Fuel prices at the UPG network are as follows:

  • A95 - 76.40 UAH/L
  • A95+ - 78.40 UAH/L
  • Diesel - 85.49 UAH/L
  • A100 - 84.90 UAH/L
  • Gas - 45.90 UAH/L

At OKKO, A95 gasoline costs 79.90 UAH/L and diesel 89.90 UAH/L. WOG has similar pricing, while KLO offers A95 at 72.9 UAH/L and diesel at 86.4 UAH/L. SOCAR lists A95 at 79.9 UAH/L and diesel at 89.9 UAH/L. Ukrnafta charges 74.90 UAH/L for A95 and 86.90 UAH/L for diesel. BRSM sells A95 for 72.99 UAH/L and diesel for 82.99 UAH/L.

Cashback Program and Market Conditions

The government has extended its fuel cashback program until May 31, 2026. Active since March 20, the initiative provides a 15% rebate on diesel, 10% on gasoline, and 5% on auto gas. Maximum savings reach up to 11 UAH/L on diesel, 7 UAH/L on gasoline, and 2 UAH/L on auto gas. Since May 1, the monthly compensation cap per user has been limited to 500 UAH.

Serhiy Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting group, stated that there is no diesel fuel shortage.

The Antimonopoly Committee, chaired by Pavlo Kyrylenko, does not see monopolistic behavior in the fuel market.

A key objective factor driving price increases is the shutdown of Ukraine's largest oil refinery, which has made nearly 85% of light petroleum products dependent on imports.

Diesel prices in Ukraine have surged by 33.9%, placing the country among the top ten globally for the fastest diesel price growth. Between February 26 and March 31, diesel prices (Platts) rose by 86%, while average station prices increased by 39%. Meanwhile, March diesel supply volumes remained at 2025 levels. Average gasoline prices at stations rose by 16%, and diesel by 39%.

Fuel price changes stem from several factors, including rising demand, shrinking supply and reserves, higher actual procurement costs for petroleum products, and increased logistics expenses. Currently, it is impossible to compare storage conditions and volumes within Ukraine, which also impacts the market. The Antimonopoly Committee continues to monitor the fuel market situation.

Fuel price updates in Ukraine occur amid a challenging economic environment, particularly due to the shutdown of the largest refinery, leading to import reliance. The extension of the cashback program reflects government efforts to support consumers amid rising prices. The Antimonopoly Committee's ongoing market oversight may signal potential regulatory policy shifts in response to these developments.
