According to glavcom.ua: Uzbekistani boxer Lazizbek Mullaazhonov, who won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics, failed a doping test. His sample tested positive for the synthetic anabolic steroid methasterone, which increases muscle mass and physical strength.

The doping sample from Mullaazhonov was taken on June 11. If the results of the retesting confirm the findings, the boxer will be disqualified for violating anti-doping rules.
