Weight and height revealed by Dasha Kvitkova after anorexia allegations
Kvitkova's counter to the body-shaming remarks
According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Ukrainian influencer and model Dasha Kvitkova has hit back at online users who accused her of having anorexia and claimed she would be unable to bear children. In her posts, she provided her own measurements, stating she weighs 52 kilograms and stands 165 centimeters tall, while emphasizing that she exercises regularly. This incident highlights the ongoing issue of online body shaming and unsolicited comments about women's bodies.
She shared a screenshot of a comment where a user called her "anorexic" and asserted that she "can no longer have a child." In response to these attacks, Kvitkova stated:
"I weigh 52 kg, and I'm 165 cm tall. I work out, build muscle, and I love my strong legs. I constantly focus on my health. Yet a random woman in my comments, just because I don't look the way she expects, calls it anorexia. I suspect she has no idea what she's talking about." - Dasha Kvitkova
An appeal for body respect and mindfulness
Kvitkova also urged people to stop commenting on others' bodies, weight, and fertility, stressing that "you have no right to do that. Not about me, not about anyone else. Let's normalize not commenting on other people's bodies. Neither thinness, nor weight, nor fertility are topics for your assumptions."
She emphasized the need to recognize that a woman's body does not require scrutiny from others: "Stop acting as if a woman's body exists for your examination. It doesn't need your approval, your diagnoses, or your predictions about reproductive health. In short, back off from women and their bodies."
In this way, Kvitkova expressed her outrage over the negative comments about her appearance and underscored the importance of respecting women's bodies.
Kvitkova's statements highlight the ongoing issue of societal pressure on women regarding their appearance and reproductive health. Society often imposes stereotypes about ideal body measurements, causing many women to suffer. It is important for public figures like Kvitkova to use their platforms to promote healthy lifestyles and respect for individuality, as this can positively influence public perception of women's bodies.
By asserting women's right to their own choices and self-expression, she calls for greater sensitivity and kindness in discussions about physical appearance.
This situation is reminiscent of other public figures facing scrutiny over their bodies, such as Anastasiia Tkachenko, who recently shared her weight loss journey following surgery. Such narratives highlight the pervasive issue of body image and societal pressure on women's appearances, reinforcing the need for greater compassion and understanding in public discourse.
