Russian deputy Zhurova named Ukraine the main enemy of their sport: what is known

Odious State Duma deputy of the Russian Federation and Olympic champion Svitlana Zhurova accused Ukraine of hostility towards Russian sports. According to her, Ukraine is trying to drive everyone against Russian athletes and uses them in political games within the framework of hybrid warfare.

Unfortunately, due to the visa issue, Russian athletes are facing serious difficulties. For example, the junior team of Russia in rowing will not be able to participate in the World Championship due to Lithuania's refusal to issue visas. Also, Russian rowers could not participate in the Youth World Championship in Poland due to inconsistencies with the organizers' requirements.

“The situation regarding some countries remains complicated, and due to the inability to obtain visas, the Russian national team under 19 will not compete in the World Championship,” said the president of the Russian Rowing Federation, Alexey Svirin.

In general, although not everything is smooth for Russian athletes due to the visa issue and political tension, there are still pleasant news. For example, Russian fencer Yana Yegoryan won a gold medal at the World Championship, highlighting her great talent and professionalism.
