The State Agency 'PlayCity' fined a Telegram channel nearly 5 million UAH

In the messenger, the channel advertised gambling using manipulative phrases, did not have registration in the Register of entities in the media sector, advertised without a contract with licensed organizers and did not warn about the risks of gambling addiction.

The State Agency PlayCity has fined the Telegram channel 'Trukha Ukraine' 4.8 million UAH for illegal casino advertising. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

The State Agency 'PlayCity'

A state agency 'PlayCity' has been launched in Ukraine, created to replace the liquidated Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL). The goal of 'PlayCity' is to make the gambling and lottery market transparent and controllable. The head of the agency is Gennady Novikov, who previously held the position of deputy head of the KRAIL apparatus.

The State Agency PlayCity has taken control of the situation with illegal advertising of casinos through the Telegram channel and issued a significant fine. Additionally, a new state agency 'PlayCity' has been created in Ukraine aimed at regulating the gambling and lottery market to make it more transparent and controllable.
