According to ДСНС: More than 60 foreign diplomatic mission heads were taken by Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the site of a Russian missile strike on a residential building in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district. The attack, carried out with an X-101 cruise missile, left 24 people dead, including three children, and wounded 48 others. Rescue and recovery efforts lasted more than 28 hours.

Briefing and International Response

Andriy Danyk, head of the State Emergency Service, briefed the diplomats on the consequences of the strike. During the visit, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis stated that

“This attack is yet another deliberate Russian strike against civilians and demonstrates the aggressor’s unwillingness to end this bloody war.” - Yevhen Perebyinis

He added,

“The only way to force Russia to stop is to increase international pressure and raise the cost of its aggression.” - Yevhen Perebyinis

The presence of foreign diplomats at the site underscores international solidarity and readiness to support Ukraine amid the ongoing aggression. This event further highlights the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the war. Such visits can amplify global attention on Ukraine’s situation and help push the international community toward more decisive action against the aggression.

The ongoing conflict continues to escalate, as evidenced by the recent missile strike in Kyiv. In light of this tragic event, President Zelenskyy's visit to the site underscores the urgent need for international support and highlights the human cost of aggression. This visit not only reflects the resilience of the Ukrainian people but also aims to galvanize global action against such acts of violence.
