According to Главком: Ukrainian biathlete Dmytro Pidruchnyi has ended his ten-year partnership with his personal coach, Yurii Sanitra. The decision was made ahead of the 2026/27 season. “It is a bit sad to turn this page of our shared history, but ahead of each of us is our own path and new goals.”

Pidruchnyi continued to train under Sanitra's individual program for two more years following his departure from the national squad, and in 2025, they were joined by Taras Lesiuk.

During his time with Yurii Sanitra, Dmytro Pidruchnyi achieved:

• five World Cup podiums in team events, including two silver medals in the mixed and men's relays;
• three bronze medals – two in the mixed relay and one in the men's relay.

The athlete has also competed in the Winter Olympic Games in 2014, 2018, 2022, and 2026, with his best individual Olympic results being 13th place in the sprint and pursuit events at the 2022 Beijing Games.
