Founder of Vinnytsia Rehab Center Faces Court After 15-Year Pattern of Raping Girls
Pretrial Investigation Concluded
According to Главком: Ukrainian prosecutors have completed their pretrial investigation and submitted an indictment to the court against the founder of a former private Christian rehabilitation center in Vinnytsia. The man is charged with sexual violence against children and the corruption of minors and underage individuals. The crimes allegedly took place over the 15-year existence of the facility, spanning from 2006 to 2020. During the investigation, law enforcement officials identified 10 female victims who were subjected to regular sexual abuse.
The accused is currently in custody. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison for the charges brought against him. The case file has been transferred to the court for a substantive hearing. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General,
“during the investigation, law enforcement identified 10 female victims. A series of investigative and procedural actions were carried out with them to build a proper evidence base.”

Separately, the pretrial investigation has been completed in a criminal case involving the rape of a 14-year-old girl by her stepfather in the Vinnytsia region. The incident reportedly took place in a family from the Khmilnyk district. Additionally, an 82-year-old man has been detained in the Vinnytsia region on suspicion of a crime against the sexual freedom of a minor child. The victim is a 10-year-old resident of the Orativ community, and the perpetrator is her elderly neighbor, who had gained the family’s trust. In another case, a father who raped his underage daughter has been remanded in custody in the same region.
These incidents highlight serious child safety concerns in Ukraine and underscore the need for stricter oversight of facilities that work with minors.
