Dollar exchange rate in 2026: business expects growth to 46 hryvnias

According to hvylya.net: According to the results of a survey by the Association 'Business Forecasts for 2026', leaders of companies participating in the European Business Association predict the dollar exchange rate at 46 hryvnias when planning budgets for the upcoming year. This is higher than in previous years: 44 UAH/USD in 2025 and 41 UAH/USD in 2024.

Most businessmen are relatively optimistic about the upcoming year: 55% expect positive changes, which is slightly more than last year (53%). 30% do not anticipate significant changes, while 15% foresee negative trends.

Growth in income in national currency is expected by 77% of company leaders, which is a positive trend compared to 72% last year. The number of pessimists has decreased from 15% to 12%. Regarding the possible end of hostilities in 2026, opinions are divided: 29% hope for this, 19% do not believe such developments will happen, and 52% refrain from making predictions.

There is also an increase in investment activity: 20% of companies plan large-scale capital investments (compared to 16% in the previous year), and the average size of projects has increased from 9 to 14 million dollars.

Most survey participants also plan to use artificial intelligence technologies to optimize business processes: 74% indicated areas of AI application such as corporate training, analytics, operational automation, supply chain and sales planning, marketing, and accounting.

A survey conducted among the leaders of companies participating in the European Business Association showed what forecasts and expectations they have for 2026. Most participants hope for positive changes, income growth, and investment activity, as well as plan to use artificial intelligence technologies to optimize their activities.
