Toni Matviienko's Daughter Relocates to Germany Amid Shelling
Ulyana's Move to Germany
According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Ulyana, the daughter of Ukrainian singer Toni Matviienko, has relocated to Germany due to the security situation in Ukraine. She has been living and working in Berlin for the past six months, driven by the ongoing Russian shelling that forced her to leave her homeland. Toni Matviienko spoke about the situation, noting:
“She is doing very well. She now lives in Berlin and has a job. It’s been six months since she left Ukraine. It’s hard for me, but I try to visit her as often as I can.”
Toni Matviienko’s Family Circumstances
Ulyana, who became Toni’s daughter when the singer was 17 years old, recently visited Lviv. Toni Matviienko married for the first time at a young age, with her first husband being seven years older. That marriage lasted a decade but ended in divorce due to a lack of love. Today, the singer is in a relationship with musician Arsen Mirzoyan, with whom she has been together for over ten years. The couple welcomed their daughter Nina in 2016.
Toni Matviienko shared:
“She is like a refugee. At some point, she just said: I can’t take it anymore, I’m scared. I’m worried.”
Despite the difficult circumstances, the singer tries to maintain a close bond with her daughter, frequently visiting her in Germany to stay connected during these challenging times.
This situation highlights the impact of the war in Ukraine, which has forced many people to seek safer places to live. Ulyana’s move to Germany reflects a broader trend of Ukrainians leaving the country due to hostilities and threats to their lives. Family support, even from a distance, remains a crucial part of life for many adapting to new realities.
