Ukrainian athletes showed impressive results at the Diamond League stage in Brussels. Oleg Doroshchuk won the gold medal, while Dmytro Nikitin took 10th place. Nikitin managed to clear a height of 2.14 m but stopped at 2.18 m.

The decisive moment was the height of 2.25 m, which Doroshchuk successfully cleared. Both athletes remained at 2.30 m, but due to additional criteria, the victory went to the Ukrainian. This is Doroshchuk's first gold at the Diamond League. Ukraine entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, winning 5 gold medals, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
