Pensioners lose thousands of hryvnias: 11 types of assistance that can be lost

Mykhailo Vulah emphasized that pensioners should apply in a timely manner to receive benefits. He cited 11 key opportunities that may be lost this year, including assistance for treatment, pension recalculation, and compensation for utility services.

One important point is assistance for surgeries and medications, which can be received up to 200,000 hryvnias for surgery and up to 3,000 hryvnias monthly. It is also important to check pension accruals to avoid underpayments or calculation errors.

It is also recommended to apply for compensation for utility services, which can cover up to 100% of expenses, helping to avoid significant financial expenses.

Housing subsidies and digitization of work books

Starting from October 1, the Pension Fund of Ukraine is recalculating housing subsidies for the heating season of 2025-2026. It is also important to digitize work books to confirm employment history before 2004. These measures aim to improve social guarantees for pensioners and avoid potential financial losses due to inadequate knowledge of the rules.
