Power Generators Handed Over to Educational Institutions

According to МЗС: Tetiana Sybiha, the spouse of Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, has supplied three electric generators with a total capacity of 88 kW to schools as part of the #WarmthForUkraine initiative. Launched by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, this campaign aims to equip Ukrainian schools with essential power equipment during a challenging period. The recipients of the generators are:

  • Bucha Lyceum No. 5
  • Baryshivka Lyceum
  • Specialized School No. 58 in Kyiv

Tetiana Sybiha met with Mykhailo Nakonechnyi, the principal of Bucha Lyceum No. 5, to discuss the school’s urgent needs, emphasizing the critical role of supporting educational institutions amid the energy crisis. During the generator handover, she also gave a video interview to the Romanian outlet Euronews Romania, an informational partner of the #WarmthForUkraine campaign. Journalists from the outlet traveled to Ukraine to cover the aftermath of Russian attacks and to deliver humanitarian aid from Romania.

Tetiana Sybiha: 'We made it through this winter thanks to the support of our partners, the dedicated efforts of Ukrainians, and everyone who truly understands what is happening and stands with Ukraine.'

In February 2026, the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania and the organization Save the Children Romania signed a Protocol on Cooperation, launching a national fundraising campaign in Romania to purchase energy equipment for Ukrainian children. This initiative plays a vital role in supporting education in Ukraine and helps improve learning conditions for students.

International Support Amid the Energy Crisis

The delivery of generators to Ukrainian schools under the #WarmthForUkraine initiative highlights the importance of international assistance as Ukraine grapples with an energy crisis. Partnerships with organizations like Save the Children Romania are crucial for ensuring uninterrupted education and better learning environments for students during these tough times. This effort also showcases the global community’s solidarity with Ukraine amid the war and its impact on the country’s education system.
