Igor Poklad's wife named the composer's favorite songs and shared his dream

During the farewell to the outstanding Ukrainian composer and Hero of Ukraine Igor Poklad, his wife, Svitlana Poklad, shared memories of the Maestro's favorite works. The farewell ceremony is taking place at the National Philharmonic in Kyiv. According to Svitlana Poklad, her husband particularly highlighted two of his songs:

• "Mama, the evening is burning out," which was performed brilliantly by Nina Matviyenko.
• "Smile, my fate.".

"These are the two best, in his opinion. If we are already talking about favorites…", – noted Svitlana Poklad.

A dream that remained unfulfilled

Additionally, she recalled her husband's unfulfilled dream – the staging of his best work, in his opinion, the rock opera "King Herod." The Crimean Academic Ukrainian Music Theater realized the composer's dream and staged the rock opera "King Herod" for the first time in Ukraine. This happened in Ukrainian Crimea in 2013, but this opera has not been presented on any of the capital's stages. "We really hope that it will be on at least one capital stage, but unfortunately. But I believe he will hear it from the heavens. We will definitely implement this project, and I believe you will see it," – addressed the composer’s wife to those present.

During the farewell to the famous Ukrainian composer Igor Poklad, his wife Svitlana Poklad opened the temptations of her soul and shared her husband's most beloved works, as well as his unfulfilled dream. With her memories, she gave the audience the opportunity to better understand the talent and human qualities of the great composer.
