Moderate rain is forecast for much of the country, with thunderstorms possible in the south. Overnight, showers are expected across most western and northern regions; during the day, light rain will move through parts of the southwest, while isolated thunderstorms may appear in southern areas.
Winds will generally come from the northwest at 7–12 meters per second, but daytime gusts are expected to reach 15–20 m/s in most regions except the northeast. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has warned about the worsening weather and rated the danger level as I (yellow).
Temperatures will start out cool, with overnight lows across Ukraine ranging from 10°C to 15°C. Daytime highs will be noticeably cooler as well, reaching just 14°C to 19°C in most places. In Kyiv, the night will remain dry, although the surrounding Kyiv region may see some scattered light rain. Wet weather is expected in the capital during the day. Daytime temperatures in the city will sit between 17°C and 19°C after a night of 13°C to 15°C. Across Kyiv region, thermometers will show 10°C to 15°C overnight and 14°C to 19°C during the day.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center notes: 'Cloudy intervals with sunny breaks will alternate. Moderate rain will occur at night across most western and northern areas, with light daytime showers in parts of the southwest; some southern districts could see thunderstorms.'
