DTEK Networks received an award for innovation in workplace safety: how technology protects energy workers
Award for Innovations in Workplace Safety
According to Главком: DTEK Networks won the award in the category 'Innovation of the Year in Workplace Safety' at the International Forum 'Leaders of Change – 2025'. The recognition was the result of implementing the project 'Photo and Video Control of Workplace Preparation and Access to Work', which was carried out last year.
Alexander Tatarенко, head of the labor protection department of DTEK Networks, received an award for this project. He emphasized that the implementation of the project is part of the company's long-term ESG strategy, aimed at reducing the risk of accidents, minimizing the impact of human factors, and ensuring control over compliance with safety rules.
Alexander Tatarенко also noted that the company systematically develops a culture of workplace safety in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This is especially important in conditions where energy workers operate during shelling and in heightened danger. The award confirms that the company's technologies meet the highest international standards. DTEK Networks intends to continue developing the culture of safety, as the lives and health of employees are the main priority.
Recognition of Energy Workers
Earlier, the President awarded ten energy workers of DTEK Rinat Akhmetov for their efforts in restoring electricity supply after shelling.
Receiving the award at the forum 'Leaders of Change – 2025' underscores the importance of innovations in workplace safety, especially in conditions of heightened danger faced by energy workers in Ukraine. The introduction of new technologies and control systems not only improves safety at the workplace but also demonstrates the company's responsibility to its employees and society as a whole. This success can serve as an example for other companies striving to improve their safety standards and adapt to modern challenges.
