DTEK Launches Five-Year AI Transformation Program Targeting 90% of Its Workforce
DTEK's AI Transformation Initiative
According to Главком: Backed by its in-house IT firm Modus X, which is part of the DTEK Group, the company is rolling out an AI transformation program called Quantun. Launched in April, this five-year initiative aims to train over 90% of employees to regularly incorporate artificial intelligence into their daily tasks. Currently, around 50% of DTEK's workforce already uses AI in their roles.
Program Objectives
The core goal is to turn DTEK Group companies into intelligent businesses, with AI embedded into critical operations. According to Dmytro Osyka, the program's ultimate aim is to build what he calls 'intelligent businesses.' As reported by Forbes Ukraine, the energy holding company has ambitious plans to significantly boost its use of AI technologies across the board.
- Upgrading internal workflows.
- Setting a benchmark for other enterprises in Ukraine.
- Driving impact in the energy and IT sectors.
It is worth noting that last year, DTEK's IT arm Modus X topped Forbes' ranking of IT companies within Ukrainian businesses.
DTEK's AI transformation program aligns with a global trend of integrating artificial intelligence into business processes to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. By raising AI adoption levels, the company seeks not only to modernize its own operations but also to serve as a model for other Ukrainian firms. The program's success could have a substantial effect on the energy industry and the broader IT sector, unlocking new opportunities for innovative technology development in the country.
As DTEK embarks on its ambitious AI transformation journey, the broader landscape of artificial intelligence in Ukraine is also evolving. With the government poised to pass new AI legislation by 2026, companies like DTEK are setting the stage for a more regulated and innovative environment. This legislative framework could further enhance AI integration across various sectors, making the timing of DTEK's initiative particularly significant.
