Opening of the 79th Cannes Film Festival

According to Главком: The 79th Cannes Film Festival opened on May 12 in Cannes, France, and will run through May 23. The opening ceremony took place at the Grand Théâtre Lumière. The festival was launched with the historical comedy 'Electric Kiss' directed by Pierre Salvadori, featuring actors Pio Marmaï, Anaïs Demoustier, Gilles Lellouche, Vimala Pons, and Gustave Kervern.

Global film icons graced the red carpet. Demi Moore arrived in a dress by fashion house Jacquemus, while Jane Fonda-who announced the festival’s opening-chose a Gucci gown. Heidi Klum, Joan Collins in a Stephane Rolland design, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu in Saint Laurent, Anaïs Demoustier in Prada, and Kelly Rutherford in Giorgio Armani also added to the evening’s glamour.
