E-Yasla: How working parents can receive payments for their child

As of January 1, 2026, a state program «E-Yasla» started in Ukraine, which provides monthly financial support for working parents with children aged from one to three years. The program is aimed at families where one of the parents returns to work after the child reaches one year of age. This is reported by Visit Ukraine.

The launch and conditions of the program were announced by the National Social Service of Ukraine. They state that assistance is paid monthly throughout the entire period of participation in the program and has a specific purpose.

E-Yasla: Who can receive monthly assistance

The right to receive payments is granted to a parent or another legal representative of a child aged from 1 to 3 years, provided that the applicant has actually cared for the child and has returned to work on full-time conditions. At the same time, the program does not apply to foster parents, guardians, custodians, or representatives of institutions that perform the functions of guardians or caretakers.

Payments under the «E-Yasla» program: amounts and intended use of funds

The amount of assistance in 2026 depends on the family circumstances:

• 8,000 UAH – if the mother or another legal representative returns to work after the child reaches one year;

• 12,000 UAH – for families raising a child with a disability.

The funds received may only be used for the care of the child. This includes paying for services from private preschool institutions, individual entrepreneurs, and legal entities that officially provide care services, as well as paid services in state and communal kindergartens according to current regulations.

To apply for assistance, one needs to contact the nearest branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or submit documents online via the «Diia.Sharing» service in the Diia application. Funds are transferred to a special account or through the «Diia Card».
