According to Главком: The Unified Register of Weapons will suspend its operations from 20:00 on January 3 to 08:00 on January 5, 2026, due to a planned system update. This decision has been made in connection with the update of the industrial environment of the functional subsystem 'Unified Register of Weapons' of the information system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The Unified Register of Weapons (URW) started its activities in Ukraine on June 23. The creation of the electronic Register of Gun Owners was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, demonstrating the state's efforts towards modernizing the weapons accounting system and improving its efficiency.

Denys Shmyhal noted that this decision is part of the State Anti-Corruption Program and demonstrates a systematic move towards a modern, effective digital ecosystem that serves the needs of the military.
