Former State Duma Deputy Napso in federal wanted list: Suspected of rape
The Investigative Committee of Russia (SKR) has decided to search for former State Duma deputy Yuri Napso. According to Russian media, Napso is suspected of raping his 19-year-old assistant, although he himself denies these accusations, calling them a commissioned fake.
Yuri Napso was a deputy in the State Duma for almost two decades, advocating for life imprisonment and even the death penalty for rapists. However, after the crime attributed to him in March 2023, he fled to Armenia and has not returned to Russia, evading the investigation. Two years later, he was stripped of his deputy mandate due to multiple absences from work.

Later, in Crimea, Russian police detained another former State Duma deputy, Ruslan Balbek, who was previously also wanted at the federal level.
Ukrainian media report on the search for former State Duma deputy Yuri Napso, suspected of rape, whom the Investigative Committee of Russia has decided to hold accountable. At the same time, Napso himself refuses to accept guilt and claims that he is abroad in the United Arab Emirates.
