According to ХВИЛЯ: Analyst Oleh Popenko has warned that Ukraine could face prolonged daily power outages lasting 6 to 8 hours during the summer of 2026. This projection, made during a live broadcast on March 26, 2026, accounts for a systemic energy deficit driven by scheduled generator repairs and rising consumption, even without factoring in potential damage from shelling.
