Former President of Peru Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison for Corruption

According to glavcom.ua: A Peruvian court decided not to coddle the former president and sentenced him to 14 years in prison for receiving bribes. Martin Vizcarra also received a nine-year ban from holding public office. This decision sparked outrage from the offender, who called it 'revenge.'

Only time will tell if Martin Vizcarra will appeal the court's decision. Ultimately, this verdict reflects the seriousness of the fight against corruption in the country and the efforts to cleanse the political system in Peru.
