Energy Trade Group ceases operations: what gas consumers should do before December 1
From December 2025, Energy Trade Group LLC will stop providing services to residential consumers in Ukraine. The company's clients must choose a new supplier by December 1, 2025. If consumers fail to do so, their gas supply will be ensured by the 'last resort' supplier - Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Situation on the gas market
There will be eight gas suppliers left in the market, and the annual cost per cubic meter of gas will range from 7.96 to 9.99 UAH. In December, the monthly price will fluctuate between 8.46 and 27.99 UAH per cubic meter. Naftogaz of Ukraine serves 98% of consumers, or over 12 million households, and its annual gas tariff will be 7.96 UAH per cubic meter, which will be valid until April 2026.
Gas consumers who find themselves without a supplier are advised to carefully choose a new supplier before the established deadline to avoid supply issues. In the context of changing suppliers, it is also important to pay attention to the tariffs and conditions offered by other companies, as prices may vary significantly.
This situation may lead to significant changes in the gas supply market in Ukraine, as a large number of consumers will be forced to seek new suppliers. Clients should consider the differences in tariffs and service conditions, which may affect their expenses. Given the high likelihood of gas price fluctuations in the near future, consumers should be particularly careful when choosing a new supplier to ensure the stability of their utility expenses.
