Epidemic threshold exceeded: how the situation with flu and COVID-19 has changed

According to Міністерство Здоров'я: The 2025/2026 epidemic season brought a slight increase in the incidence of flu, COVID-19, and other acute respiratory infections. Over the past week, more than 122 thousand people got sick, including over 73 thousand children. A decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases was observed compared to the previous week. A total of about 3 thousand patients were hospitalized, and all of them received the necessary care.

Despite the overall level of morbidity, most regions of the country remain within the epidemic threshold. There are only a few areas where a slight exceedance of this indicator is noted.

In this context, it is important to adhere to preventive measures, including personal hygiene rules, proper nutrition, room ventilation, avoiding large gatherings, and, of course, the importance of vaccination against COVID-19. Additionally, it is essential to respond quickly to potential symptoms of the disease and consult a doctor for appropriate treatment.
