Очікується, що Україна отримає перший транш у розмірі 90 мільярдів євро від Європейського Союзу вже наступного тижня.

Disbursements Under the Ukraine Loan Package

According to Главком: The European Union is preparing to begin payouts under a €90 billion loan package for Ukraine, with the first funds potentially arriving within days. European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Marta Kos, announced this during a meeting of the EU Council of Foreign Ministers in Brussels. Brussels has nearly completed the preparatory steps required to launch the financing, and the initial tranche is scheduled for release next week. This loan represents a significant part of the EU's broader support strategy for Ukraine amid ongoing challenges.

The loan will be serviced using proceeds generated from frozen assets held by Russia's Central Bank. It is structured to run through the end of 2027. The EU Council has formally approved the €90 billion credit for Ukraine and also adopted the 20th package of sanctions against Russia.

"We are on track with preparations to disburse the first funds from the €90 billion loan for Ukraine. We expect the first tranche to be released as early as next week."

  • finance critical defense needs
  • rebuild infrastructure

The loan disbursements could significantly impact the stability of Ukraine's economy, particularly in funding essential social and defense needs. This step also signals continued pressure on Russia through sanctions, which may be leveraged to bolster Ukraine's position on the international stage.

In light of this imminent financial support, it's essential to understand the broader context of the EU's commitment to Ukraine. Recent developments, including the final approval of the €90 billion loan package, highlight the ongoing efforts to stabilize the region and address critical needs. These funds are a crucial part of the EU's strategy to bolster Ukraine's resilience amidst the current challenges.
