EU Delegation Headed to the USA: New Sanctions Against Russia Being Prepared
According to hvylya.net: The European team is heading to the USA to work together on new sanctions against Russia. European Council President Charles Michel announced this during a press conference in Uzhhorod alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Michel emphasized the necessity of strengthening the sanctions pressure on Russia to put an end to the war. The preparation of new restrictions has already begun in Brussels, and representatives of Europe will travel to Washington to collaborate with their American counterparts.
'We are collaborating with the Americans and other partners to increase pressure through new sanctions. Work on a new package of restrictions has begun, and our European team is heading to Washington for joint work with American allies,' noted the President of the European Council.
Support for Ukraine and Its Path to the European Union
Michel stressed that the European Union supports Ukraine on its path to integration, backing reforms and EU membership as an important step in ensuring the safety and well-being of Ukrainians.
The President of the European Council expressed support for Ukraine in its struggle for peace and reforms, urging the continuation of this important work. 'We stand by your side in this war, we support you in your efforts to achieve peace through negotiation and your future in the EU,' summarized Michel.
A representative of the European Union, Michel announced the dispatch of the European team to the USA to discuss new sanctions against Russia. Support for Ukraine on its path to the European Union was also expressed, highlighting the importance of reforms and support for peace.
