According to Главком: The European Union has approved a €90 billion loan package for Ukraine. The initial disbursement of €45 billion is anticipated in the second quarter of 2025. These funds will be allocated to:

  • purchasing domestically produced drones,
  • weapons manufacturing,
  • acquiring air defense systems.

Additionally, the funding is intended to prepare Ukraine's energy sector and critical infrastructure for the upcoming winter.

Ongoing Support for Ukraine and New Sanctions

The EU Council has also enacted its 20th sanctions package against Russia as part of its support for Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that efforts are underway to make the first tranche of this aid available by May or June.
