FIDE will consider Kramnik's statement on the death of Grandmaster Naroditsky

According to glavcom.ua: The Ethics Commission of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) has decided to consider the statement of the 14th world champion Vladimir Kramnik regarding the death of the Ukrainian-born Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky. After the tragedy, information about him sparked outrage in the community, and FIDE decided to take this seriously.

'Human life and dignity are the core values shared by all of us. We deeply respect and love chess, which unites our community, and these values must always come first.'

FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich emphasized the importance of maintaining ethical standards within the chess community, arguing that misinformation and negative statements can harm not only reputation but also people's mental health. Therefore, the matter has been referred to the relevant commission for an objective review.
