Joint Effort to Rehabilitate Ukraine’s Defenders

According to Главком: The Hope charitable foundation, led by board chairman Valeriy Dubil, and the Christian Corps have signed a cooperation agreement with the Unbroken National Rehabilitation Center. This partnership focuses on treating, rehabilitating, and restoring Ukrainian soldiers injured during the war. The Christian Corps unites combat units from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), while the Hope Foundation has been providing support to defenders since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Valeriy Dubil, head of the Hope Foundation’s supervisory board, stated:

“We assist military personnel both on the front lines-having completed over 400 missions to the front-and during their treatment and recovery. It is crucial for us that defenders receive the best medical care, modern rehabilitation, and support. We are consistently fulfilling our core mission: saving lives. That is why cooperation with Unbroken and the Christian Corps is a vital step in advancing this effort.”

Support from the Christian Corps

The Christian Corps, which brings together combat units such as Bratstvo, Stuhna, Revansh, Tradition and Order, the Jesus Christ Company, the Drone Brotherhood, and the 6th Special Purpose Detachment, has also expressed its backing. Oleksiy Borghese Serediuk, commander of the Bratstvo battalion under the GUR of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, emphasized:

“The Christian Corps is founded on love for God and love for one’s neighbor. These are not just words for us, but principles by which we live and serve. We are beginning our collaboration with the Unbroken center to join in supporting those who have sacrificed their health for Ukraine.”

The Unbroken National Rehabilitation Center is Ukraine’s largest ecosystem for helping war victims and is part of Lviv’s First Medical Union, headed by Oleh Samchuk. Unbroken brings together over 20 areas of assistance, including:

  • emergency treatment
  • reconstructive surgery
  • prosthetics
  • physical and psychological rehabilitation
  • social adaptation

The Hope Foundation runs programs that include supplying rehabilitation centers and medical facilities with equipment, professional training for veterans, support for veteran sports, and the 'Scooter for a Hero' initiative, through which amputee veterans have received adaptive electric scooters. Valeriy Dubil highlighted the importance of the partnership:

“Recovery from severe injuries is a comprehensive process that extends far beyond medicine. We are grateful to partners who are ready to join us in creating new opportunities for Ukraine’s defenders, helping them return to a full life.”

This cooperation agreement marks a significant step in supporting Ukrainian soldiers who have sustained injuries from the war. The partnership between the Hope Foundation, the Christian Corps, and the Unbroken National Rehabilitation Center showcases the combined efforts of various organizations to provide comprehensive aid-encompassing not only medical services but also the social reintegration of veterans. Amid an ongoing war, such collaboration aims to ease the return of defenders to normal life, a goal of great importance to society as a whole.
