According to Главком: France's regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communications, ARCOM, has ordered the blocking of 35 websites belonging to Russian media outlets, television, and radio services. This action enforces sanctions imposed by the European Union, aiming to restrict access to sanctioned channels and stations that disseminate information aligned with Russian interests. This is part of a broader EU effort to counter disinformation from state-backed sources.

ARCOM has formally notified internet service providers, domain name administrators, and search engines, demanding they block the specified Russian media sites. The regulator has also requested that search engines de-list the pages of four streaming platforms that fall under these sanctions.

Drone Incident Near French Aircraft Carrier

In a separate security-related incident, a Russian drone recently approached the French nuclear-powered aircraft carrier 'Charles de Gaulle' while it was docked in Malmö during NATO's Orion-26 exercises. The Swedish Armed Forces deployed electronic warfare measures against the drone, which had taken off from a nearby vessel belonging to the Russian Federation. Such incidents highlight the heightened security environment in the Baltic region.
