The CEO of 'Ukrposhta' Ihor Smilyansky denied rumors about a possible default that are being spread by some media. He stated that no default is happening and will not happen. Smilyansky also emphasized that the company continues to operate and develop well, despite temporary financial losses due to investments.
'And suddenly, out of nowhere, news comes out that in the same budget materials the NBU proposes to close PIN Bank instead of transferring it to Ukrposhta and resolving the issue of financial inclusion, which, by the way, was supported by 260 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada. As our enemies say: 'Coincidence? I don't think so',' he said.
All accusations against 'Ukrposhta' from the National Bank have no basis, the CEO assured. He pointed out that changes in the valuation of the company's capitalization do not require additional funds and are merely technical aspects of the bank's operations.
All of Smilyansky's statements are responses to widespread rumors and speculation about the financial state of 'Ukrposhta' and confirm the stability of the company.
