Ukrainian General Staff Reports 161 Combat Engagements in a Single Day: Pokrovsk Sector Sees Heaviest Fighting

According to Главком: As of 10:00 PM on April 26, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported intense combat activity along the front lines. Over the past 24 hours, the following were recorded:
- 161 combat clashes;
- 54 airstrikes;
- 168 guided aerial bombs;
- 3,401 kamikaze drones;
- 1,902 shelling incidents targeting populated areas and Ukrainian troop positions.
Latest Developments from the Front
The most intense fighting is concentrated in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian forces eliminated 35 Russian occupiers and wounded 23 others. The enemy launched 39 attacks in this area, with four assaults still ongoing. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops destroyed one vehicle, two enemy shelters, and damaged one artillery piece, three vehicles, and 100 personnel bunkers. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed or suppressed 151 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, the enemy conducted 43 shelling attacks, five of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. The adversary carried out one assault in this area. In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, four attacks on Ukrainian positions were recorded.
On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy assaults, while on the Lyman front, five attempted advances were halted. In the Kostiantynivka sector, 15 assaults were repelled, with three battles still underway.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, occupiers attempted to attack six times, while in the Huliaipole sector, 24 assaults occurred, three of which are ongoing. On the Orikhiv front, the enemy tried to advance toward positions near the village of Stepove.
This marks the 1,523rd day of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine. The situation remains tense, with high combat activity across all sectors.
The current situation on the front lines highlights an escalation in the conflict, particularly in the Pokrovsk sector, where attack intensity is at its peak. The high frequency of combat engagements, along with the extensive use of aviation and drones, signals continued strategic efforts by both sides.
