According to Главком: The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported intense combat activity on April 20. Russian forces carried out numerous airstrikes, artillery bombardments, and assault actions across multiple sectors of the front, indicating a significant escalation in hostilities. Over the course of the day, the enemy launched 51 airstrikes, dropping 152 guided aerial bombs. A total of 5,035 kamikaze drones were deployed. Russian troops conducted 2,237 artillery strikes on Ukrainian settlements and military positions. The frontline saw 139 combat engagements, with the highest concentration of enemy offensive actions occurring on the Pokrovsk axis.

- On the South-Slobozhanske axis, three clashes occurred, and the enemy carried out 58 artillery strikes, including two using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
- Enemy forces attempted three assaults on positions near Staritsa, Vovchanski Khutory, and Vilcha.
- On the Kupiansk axis, nine enemy assaults were repelled in the directions of Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Kivsharivka, and Novoosynove.
- On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian forces thwarted two enemy attempts to advance near Karmazynivka.
- On the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk axes, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
- On the Kostiantsynivka axis, 18 enemy assaults were repelled near Kostiantsynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Novopavlivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiyivka.
- On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy launched 25 attacks in the areas of Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Filiia, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Nove Shakhove, Kucheriv Yar, Vasylivka, and Novopavlivka.
- On the Oleksandrivske axis, occupying forces attempted three times to improve their tactical position by attacking towards Kalinivske and Zlahoda, and also conducted airstrikes on Havrylivka and Malomykhailivka.
- On the Huliaipilske axis, 17 attacks were halted towards Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, and in the area of Huliaipole.
- The enemy also conducted airstrikes in the areas of Tsvitkove, Vozdvyzhenka, Rybalske, Lisne, Rivne, Novoselivka, Charivne, and Dolynka.
- On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations but launched an airstrike on Orikhiv.
- On the Prydniprovske axis, three assault actions were stopped in the direction of the Antonivskyi Bridge.
