Hour-by-Hour Power Outage Schedules Starting in 2026: How Ukraine Will Overcome the Consequences of Attacks on Energy Infrastructure
Implementation of Power Outage Schedules in Ukraine
According to Главком: Starting January 1, 2026, Ukraine will implement hour-by-hour power outage schedules and power limitation measures. This decision has come as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities, which have severely impacted the country's energy infrastructure.
The CEO of DTEK, Maxim Timchenko, emphasized that this winter will be the most challenging for Ukrainians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. He also noted that Ukraine's energy system is facing a shortage of backup power systems, which complicates the situation in the country. According to Timchenko, Ukrainians must be prepared for difficulties related to energy supply during the winter period.

Adaptation to New Energy Supply Conditions
It is known that the situation in the energy system may change, and Ukrenergo has the ability to regulate the timing and volume of outages at consumer addresses. This indicates the necessity to adapt to new energy supply conditions in Ukraine, prompted by external threats.
The introduction of hour-by-hour power outage schedules in Ukraine is a consequence of continuous attacks on energy infrastructure, which significantly complicate the energy supply to the population. The situation requires Ukrainians not only to be ready for difficulties but also to adapt to new conditions, which may have long-term effects on the country’s economy and social stability.
It is important for consumers to be aware of possible outages and prepared for changes in everyday life.
