Storms with rain and summer heat: meteorologists revealed what weather Ukrainians can expect this week
According to hvylya.net: The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has published a weather forecast for the coming week, where diverse weather is expected across the country.
The western regions are expected to experience unstable weather with short-term rains and thunderstorms. Especially active thunderstorms are predicted on July 16 for the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.
On July 17, a cyclone from Western Europe is expected to approach Ukraine, leading to a significant increase in precipitation in the western region. Thunderstorm activity will also spread to adjacent areas such as Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad.
The temperature will vary in different regions: the south of the country will have hot weather, most regions will retain warm summer weather, while comfortable temperatures with subsequent cooling on July 17 are expected in the west.
For Kyiv and the Kyiv region, cloudy weather without precipitation is expected on July 15. The wind will predominantly be north-western at a speed of 5-10 meters per second. The temperature will range from 15-20 degrees at night to 25-30 degrees during the day.
The rest of the country will remain dry during the initial period until cyclone conditions arrive on July 17.
The weather forecast for the next week indicates that a sharp change in weather conditions in Ukraine can be expected. Active thunderstorm activity with precipitation is predicted in the western regions, while the south will be hot. Kyiv is promised variable cloudiness without precipitation and moderate temperatures. The rest of the territory is expected to have dry weather until the middle of next week.
