The GUR Increased the List of Russia and Iran's 'Shadow Fleet'

According to glavcom.ua: The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine updated the data on the 'shadow fleet' of Russia and Iran, which is used for illegal transportation of oil and petroleum products bypassing sanctions. A number of tankers with deceptive and risky practices are used for maritime export flows of oil.

Among the identified tankers are vessels flying the flags of Sierra Leone, Panama, Russia, and other countries. Some of them have even docked in the ports of Crimea, and part is associated with Russian companies, including enterprises that have been sanctioned.

The Russian military corvette 'Boykiy' used a false identification signal (AIS) while passing through the English Channel on June 22, 2025, escorting two oil tankers that are under sanctions.

Ukrainian intelligence officers continue to monitor the actions of the 'shadow fleet' and share information with the international community to prevent sanctions violations and breaches of international law.
