Kharkiv Region Under Shelling: How to Ensure Heat and Light for Two Million People

The situation in Kharkiv Region continues to be tense due to shelling from Russian forces. Since the beginning of the year, there have been over 5,000 shellings affecting the city's and the region's community's generation facilities. To ensure residents of the region have heat, water, and light, construction of protection has begun at more than 100 facilities since October this year.

The government has simplified the procedures for connecting modular boiler houses and cogeneration plants to the energy system in Kharkiv Region. This will help reduce dependence on large energy hubs and increase the resilience of energy supply.
